Hunter Trials in aid of Equine Grass Sickness Fund
Run by Sarah Houlden and family since 2013, for a cause very close to their hearts. This event has proudly raised nearly £12,000 and counting!

Eventers Derby Challenge
- A flowing course of showjumps on grass followed by a mixture of cross country jumps and knock-down rustic fences.
- Full course contained to the ‘nursery field’ set up in the style of an arena event.
- Super introduction to the sport or an opportunity to sharpen up your event horses.

Cross Country Training With Sarah Houlden
Tackle new challenges or prepare for the competition season ahead with the chance to practice ditches, steps, banks, angles and lines, water – 2 complexes, streams, over 200 jumping options from 50cm up to BE Intermediate.
Non-competitive ODE
Run by Sarah Houlden, our non-competitive One-Day-Event is a unique opportunity to try eventing in a relaxed environment where help will be offered to those who find themselves a little ‘stuck!’
- Three phase – dressage, showjumping and cross country (over a shortened course)
- Dressage score sheet given
- Opportunity to ‘miss’ the problem fence and continue on course.
- Plaiting and show attire not essential.
Camps at Strathearn Eventing
For training and for FUN! We aim to host our multi-discipline camps again in summer 2026. The camp combines lessons with some practical sessions and socialising.
- Book in alone, or book in with friends!
- Overnight stabling available
- On-site lorry parking (right next to the temporary stables)
STRATHEARN PONY CLUB
Rallies, team training & event preparation.
STRATHEARN Riding club
1 hr small groups. Pole and jumping sessions working on building confidence and having fun! Cross country sessions in groups of up to 4 people. Heights from 60cm upwards.
