Scotlands Premier Equestrian Facility

What we Offer

Strathearn Eventing aims to provide an ‘all-round’ equestrian service for the horse and owner whatever their level and ambition. The facilities are aimed at being able to meet the targets set by the rider, whilst providing a high standard of care for the horses. Coaching at all levels is to be fun whilst seeking improvement and achieving desired goals, safely, for individuals, groups or clubs. The cross country facility is dedicated to offering training jumps for all and is open to the public. There are regular competitions and clinics in a variety of disciplines. A bespoke service of horse keep and schooling is available within the family run yard and there is over eighty years of knowledge and experience in caring for horses based on site. We also have a number of horses for sale. Please do not hesitate to contact us via or 01738 840263/07802 559127 if you require further information.

We were delighted to launch the introduction of The Howden Way Academy to Scotland in 2023.  A training programme designed by British Eventing for riders of 10 yrs and upwards.  The hugely successful programme  provides a flexible framework, which means you are free to choose which modules you wish to progress through. There is no set pathway. There are a wide range of modules available, that split across the three core areas of Horse, Rider and Sport.

What people say

Stabled my horse for over 2 years now at Strathearn Eventing. The facilities are excellent and I go on hioliday 3 or 4 times a year knowing my horse is well cared for. Sarah and Hazel are very friendly and have an answer or solution for any queries or problems I have with my horse. They also like to make you feel part of anything that is going on. The care and attention is first class.
I moved Ross to Sarah’s yard in May 2010 and I’ve been thrilled with the progress we have made. When we arrived, Ross had barely jumped anything over 50cm but by the end of the summer he was ready to do his first one-day-event. Proof of our improvement on the flat came through wins in dressage and showing, including several championships. Of equal importance to me is that Ross is so well cared for by Sarah and her staff. I never have to worry about him! Even through this awful winter, he has been very content and has come back into work with well-behaved enthusiasm. I would thoroughly recommend Sarah’s yard to anyone wanting to improve their performance with the peace of mind that their horse will be looked after safely.
