Graduates of a graduate degree will have extensive and integrated technical and theoretical knowledge in-depth in one or more areas of work and learning through a proven in-depth understanding of specific legal knowledge in various areas of law: including tort law, contracts, property, civil and criminal proceedings, evidence, data protection and/or administration, cyber law, consumer protection, family and employment, in order to be based on operational development and/or or work at the deputy level of organizations in the legal practice environment According to leading law firms, graduates of RMIT`s legal practice programs are employers` first choice in paralegals. Paralegals are employed in organisations such as law firms, broadcasting companies, municipal authorities and government departments including the Ministry of Justice, Court Administration, Victorian Government Attorney, Prosecutors, Victorian Legal Aid and Municipal Law Centres. Graduates of the Advanced Diploma in Legal Practice will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in a wide range of legal interests, processes and practices in legal practice environments and related fields in the public sector and/or business in a para-legal role.
