We go the extra mile to resolve an institution, an individual and a supporting organization in all legal aspects. We serve a range of professionals and public sectors: mining, construction, business development, developers, executors, MVAs, commercial and labour law, etc. We recognized that the best advice is from a specialist, someone who knows their practice inside out. We are proud to be a boutique firm that compromises such specialists, and we believe that any professional relationship should be mutually beneficial, and this is our goal for every client we work for, without distinguishing between the magnitude of the case and the complexity of the legal issues. The firm maintains print and web research materials to keep up with the latest developments in the company`s areas of expertise. Mr. Moyo participates in numerous legal education courses and seminars each year and occupies a prominent place among his colleagues in the legal community. Mr. Moyo is ranked the highest for his competence and integrity by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

Sternford Moyo, President of the International Bar Association (IBA), was awarded the City of London`s Freedom at a centuries-old ceremony for his unwavering commitment to the rule of law and his contributions to the wider international legal profession. Mr Moyo was officially admitted as the City of London Freeman at Chamberlain`s Court in London, UK, on 28 September 2022. Bhekimpilo Moyo is the Managing Partner and Founder of Moyo Legal Practice. This is due to his time at Dube and Partners (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe), Maphakwane and Partners (Botswana) and Collin Duncan and Associates (Botswana). The International Bar Association (IBA), the global voice of the legal profession, is the leading organization for international lawyers, bar associations and bar associations. It was founded in 1947, shortly after the founding of the United Nations, convinced that an organization composed of the world`s bar associations could contribute to world stability and peace through the administration of justice. The IBA acts as a link, facilitator and influencer for fair practices and accountability worldwide. The IBA has collaborated on a wide range of innovative international projects with the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the Commonwealth, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, among others. We also provide binding legal and administrative schedules for all our employees, thus promoting efficient service to our customers.

What makes our company unique are the people we represent and work with. Our customers trust us. You won`t get unnecessary advice that lacks business acumen. We advise as if we were in our customers` shoes – because we were. We understand our clients` business situation on a level that most others don`t. Our customers talk to us first, without having to worry about time and costs. Our practice delivers exceptional value every time. In litigation, we treat cases as if they were our own money spent and at risk. For this reason, we guide our clients through early solutions and take a hands-on approach to each case, rather than blindly following a meaningless step-by-step list of measures as is common in other businesses. We are carefully tested, ready and experienced where a particular case requires it.

As the first African to be elected President of the IBA, he has already made significant contributions to the international legal sector, and his commitment to the rule of law is widely shared by the City of London. IBA Executive Director Dr. Mark Ellis commented: “On behalf of the International Bar Association, I congratulate Sternford on being honoured with freedom. This recognition is well deserved for the way he places the rule of law at the heart of his actions. He became IBA President in January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a difficult time for everyone, but as always, Sternford was not deterred from spreading the message of the importance of human rights and the rule of law, which needed more at the time because governments restrict citizens` freedoms. The tribute to London City Corporation is a fitting recognition of Sternford`s commitment, even in a challenging environment, to upholding the values of the legal profession that uphold democracy. Sternford Moyo is President and Senior Partner of the law firm Scanlen and Holderness, where he specializes in mining, corporate and commercial law.
