Welcome to the Nipissing Community Legal Clinic website. We provide free legal services to low-income residents of the City of North Bay and other communities in Nipissing County. If you need legal help or advice, we recommend calling our legal advice line at (800) 551-5554. For other ways to contact Legal Aid, see the “Help” drop-down menu at the top of this page. You can use our Find a Lawyer tool to find a lawyer in your area who can provide legal assistance in the type of law you need help with. To use the tool, you need a certificate to work with a lawyer who provides legal assistance. If you do not have a certificate, you must first apply for legal aid. If you are near our district, but you are not part of our district, we will refer you to a legal clinic that will help people in your community. If you need help with a legal issue related to access to health care or unfair medical billing, please contact the Health Consumer Center. If you have a legal issue to deal with and are currently receiving food stamps or have a low income, use Super Lawyers to find an experienced legal/pro bono lawyer. Often, there is a maximum salary a client can earn by working with a legal aid or pro bono lawyer.
